“Agnes immediately tried to respond to the threat against her and was shocked to see Sihirbaz Cadi inside her realm.

She had built this realm between realms. It was between the living and the dead. It was not only her life's work, her legacy, but it was her. When she had passed on decades earlier, her soul and her magic created this room. Of course, she had laid some groundwork for it to happen.

Now an old acquaintance stood inside her room. She had known Sihirbaz Cadi since she was an apprentice under Mihaela, the greatest of the Iele. Sihirbaz and Agnes were both Iele.

The Iele had inhabited the town of Jiu in Romania for hundreds of years, long before the Romans came. They had spent a thousand years honing the magical skills they innately had.

Now, somehow, Sihirbaz Cadi had invaded her inner sanctum.

Agnes cautiously approached her uninvited guest and said, "Sihirbaz why are you here?"

"What? You’re not even going to say hello. Right to the point Agnah, you haven't changed." shouted Sihirbaz.

"You do not belong here. You know this," stated Agnes boldly.

Sihirbaz shot a bolt of green light out her hands and shot Agnes backward, yet keeping her slightly corporeal shape. Agnes was pinned in place inside the strange ball of green light.

Suddenly, a small, bright streak of light shot from the painting straight at Sihirbaz. She reacted quickly and was able to dodge the flaming missile. It did, however, nick the corner of her ear, causing her to let out a brief cry of pain. This, in turn, caused her to lose her concentration and the strange ball of green light popped like a child’s balloon.

She looked up just in time to see Agnes disappear into the strange painting on the wall.

Sihirbaz ran to the portrait and placed her hand on it. She let out a scream. An angry scream.

She angrily flipped the pedestal which stood in front of the portrait, the hammer and chisel clattering onto the floor. She turned quickly and stormed into the main room which was now considerably dimmer than it had been just minutes earlier.”
